Celebrating our people and culture at EDGE

At EDGE, our people are our greatest asset. As we celebrate a season of promotions, new roles, graduations, award winners and leadership appointments, we’re reflecting on the culture that helps our teams grow and the ambitions we’re proud to support along the way.

At EDGE, we’ve always believed there’s a better way to do business, and it starts with our people. Our culture is built on backing talent, nurturing ambition and creating an environment where everyone has the space to learn, progress and thrive.

As we mark our 10th anniversary, having grown from a small team to more than 150 people across seven regional offices, it’s the development of our own people that continues to drive us forward.

We’re proud that so much of our success comes from developing our own talent. Across the business this summer, a fantastic round of promotions reflects the hard work and expertise of teams in every office.

Sheffield – Brad Harrison – Director; Brad Fella – Associate Director; Aiden Salmons – Associate; Jake Currie – Senior Project Manager; Lee Jordan – Senior Cost Manager; Jack Bracken – Cost Manager; Joel Pooley – Cost Manager; Fraser Limb – Cost Manager

Nottingham – Dan Moore – Finance Director; Joseph Chorley – Part Qualified Accountant; Brandon Gurling – Cost Manager

Leeds – Ben Mott – Assistant Cost Manager; Amelia Spence – Project Manager

London – Taniel Annim – Assistant Cost Manager

Roles that grow with our people

Careers at EDGE aren’t one-size-fits-all. As our people grow, their roles grow with them  and we’re delighted to celebrate colleagues taking on new responsibilities:

Marie Hadfield steps up from a hybrid role to become our full-time Marketing & Communications Manager, after six months in the position.

Helen Fitzpatrick moves from Office Manager into a new role in Compliance & Operational Support.

Charlotte Ruane takes on a hybrid role as HR & Office Manager, adding HR to her responsibilities.

Backing professional development

Supporting our people through their studies and professional qualifications is central to how we invest in growth. A huge congratulations to those who have graduated this year,  a real achievement, and a reflection of genuine dedication: Brandon Gurling, Fraser Limb, Joel Pooley and Johnnie Binner.

Recognising those who live our values

Culture isn’t just what we say, it’s how we show up for one another every day. Our Gemma Petrie Core Value Award celebrates the people who truly embody what EDGE stands for. Congratulations to our latest winners:

  • Joe Croisdale – Leeds
  • Cath Hall – Sheffield
  • Mia Sobo – Nottingham
  • Avaneesh Cheema – Birmingham
  • John Diston – Cambridge
  • Saveetree Dhawotal – London

This special award honours the memory of Gemma Petrie, a cherished member of the EDGE team who sadly passed away in June 2018. It’s a lasting reminder that our people are our greatest asset, and that when we invest in their development, nurture their ambitions and create a culture where everyone can thrive, we all grow together.

Strengthening our leadership

That same commitment to growth runs right through to our leadership team. We’re delighted that Adam Maclure and Unjulee Karadia have joined our Management Board, a significant step that reflects the impact they’ve made and the leadership they’ll bring as we shape EDGE’s next chapter.

Every promotion, new role, graduation and award tells the same story, when great people are given the support, opportunity and environment to flourish, there’s no limit to what they can achieve.

Congratulations to everyone celebrating a milestone.

"We're committed to creating an environment where people feel supported to grow and pursue their ambitions. Seeing so many colleagues earn promotions, step into new roles, complete their qualifications and be recognised for living our values is genuinely one of the most rewarding parts of my role. Every one of them has a part to play in EDGE's next chapter, and it's their talent, drive and commitment that will shape where we go from here. Congratulations to each of them, it's thoroughly deserved."
