EDGE were appointed by Telereal Trillium to deliver Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor & Principal Designer duties for the demolition of redundant ‘H-block’ buildings to facilitate future site development. The project also includes the removal of a significant quantity of Licensed asbestos.

Our duties included compilation of the Employer’s Requirements documentation, management of the tender process including tender list, tender analysis and recommendation for Contractor selection and contract sum. During the post contract phase EDGE fulfilled the role of Contract Administrator and Cost Manager. This included chairing regular project progress meetings, monitoring progress and cost reporting, undertaking monthly valuations, management of variations, liaison with utilities providers, coordination of project snagging and project handover process and agreement of final account.
Added Value
It was a fundamental requirement of Client to maintain full operations of the adjacent occupied office building throughout the works, to include retention of existing live services, a number of which cross the demolition site. We engaged with local M&E services and utilities experts, as well as Statutory Authorities and the Contractor, to ensure that gas, water, electricity and telecoms supplies were maintained and upheld during the course of the demolition activity.
