EDGE is appointed as Project Manager / Contract Administrator, Quantity Surveyor, NEC Supervisor / Clerk of Works and Party Wall Surveyor for Sheffield Housing Company’s programme of works which currently consists of five phases. Sheffield Housing Company’s ethos is to build high quality houses with modern, space enhancing, and future-proofed designs throughout the Sheffield region.
To date EDGE has supported Sheffield Housing Company with over 1,800 homes and apartments across eighteen sites throughout Sheffield. The phases of work are at various stages from inception through to completed sites. The works generally consist of the construction of homes/ apartments, plot external works and all associated highway, infrastructure and external works, including Section 38, 104, 116, 185, 278 works, surface water attenuation, SUD’s and landscaping.
Services include feasibility reporting, cost planning, negotiation of the contract sum, production of tender / contract documentation, valuations, change control, cost reporting, programme management, contract administration, progress reporting, risk management, dealing with party wall issues and the management of any defects. To date, each site has been delivered within the affordability parameters which is informed by sales values. EDGE works closely with the design team, the Client, and the preferred Contractor to ensure that each phase is value driven, by ensuring any lessons learnt are integrated into subsequent sites to provide a commercial benefit whilst maintaining quality.
